The first thing you notice when you walk in is the amazing customer service. You’re greeted with genuine enthusiasm. The food was good as well. Of course, it’s hot dogs and fries, so it’s not going to knock your socks off, but the sauce was very good and fries were hand cut and delicious. Will definitely stop again if we’re ever up this way.

This place is everything you hope for and expect with a name like Hometown Hot Dogs - charming vintage paraphernalia adorning the walls, a fun eating challenge on the menu, incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive service. I was also so pleased to see they have very inclusive hiring practices. :) Just good vibes all around. Owners of this spot must be wonderful folks! Such a cute, well kept little town. Reminded me a bit of Laurel, MS, from the show Home Town.

Decided to drive out to Millersport for Hometown Hot Dogs. Ordered a West Virginia dog, a Coney dog and fries. The West Virginia dog had a medium heat coney sauce with onions and coleslaw. Great dog coleslaw had a very smooth taste to it. The coney sauce had had a little more bite than I expected but was still good. I think I would go for the least heat next time. The fries are fresh cut potato fries, no frozen here, very tasty. Now on to the service portion, my waiter was great. Checked on me several times and offered to replace the one dog when it rolled over on its side when he put the plate down. Okay places don’t do that these days. On to the thing that really made this special was the interaction of Jacob the owner. I was watching him the whole time interacting with customers and talking to me for a little bit. He’s the kind of owner you love to support. He’s checking in with all the customers, taking orders and running the register. Interacts with all of his team. You don’t see that at all in the big city anymore. Everyone should experience this place at least once.

GREAT LOCAL SPOT!!! I heard about Hometown from a friend and had to make a trip out. Located within the Buckeye Lake area with ample street parking. Owners/staff are awesome, personable, and made great recommendations. Food came fast, hot, and was delicious. Booth, bar, and table seating available. They had steady business (even around noon) and were greeted immediately. Definitely a spot to try! Looking forward to trying their breakfast items in the near future—thanks HH!! A++++

I can't say enough! The food is absolutely incredible. There's just something about that West Virginia Dog & those fresh cut fries But really what stands out even more than their food is the, out of this world customer service. From the very moment you walk in you are greeted with such love and appreciation.

This little local restaurant is a small town favorite. We stop by every time we are in town from Columbus and sometimes make special trips to eat here. They have the best fries, great coneys, soups and other options for the whole family. Very friendly staff. Family owned and operated. The owners Alanna and Jacob are so sweet make sure to stop by and grab a bite to eat you wont regret it.

You’re gonna often hear make yourself at home while dining in. This is a family, friendly atmosphere very down to earth vibes. Great hotdog and cheese sticks, the family enjoys visiting the restaurant and the fellowship with our neighbors. It’s certainly a great place to stop and get something quick to eat.
